Frontend Fee
Frontend Fee
To support the continued development of the Squid product suite and ensure a seamless cross-chain experience, Squid will begin introducing a frontend convenience fee on swaps executed through the Squid interface.
What Is the Frontend ConvenienceFee?
The frontend conenvience fee is a small convenience fee applied to most swaps initiated through the Squid frontend. This fee contributes directly to maintaining and expanding Squid’s cross-chain infrastructure, chain support, and product ecosystem.
When Is the Fee Applied?
The fee is applied on all routes except stablecoin → stablecoin(e.g., USDC → USDT, axlUSDC → USDC)
All applicable fees are calculated at quote time and reflected in the output amount shown before the user signs the transaction.
Fee Amount
Squid will charge up to 0.25% of the total route amount.
The exact fee for each swap is displayed transparently in the UI.
Why We Charge This Fee
The frontend convenience fee enables Squid to:
Maintain and improve best-in-class cross-chain routing
Support longtail assets and DEX liquidity aggregation
Invest in speed, reliability, and routing optimization
More rapidly expand our chain support and future product offerings
Continue simplifying cross-chain interactions for all Squids
Developer & Integrator Impact
This fee applies only to swaps executed on the Squid frontend. SDK, API, and widget integrations remain unaffected unless integrators choose to set their own convenience fee.
