$QUID Utility

$QUID utility within the Squid ecosystem including staking, governance, buyback mechanisms, and broader ecosystem functionality.

$QUID Utility

$QUID is designed to support ecosystem functions including staking, governance, token-related mechanisms, and broader ecosystem utility. These features may be introduced, modified, or expanded over time, subject to governance, product development, and applicable constraints.

Staking

$QUID holders may choose to stake their tokens to participate in ecosystem activities, including governance. Staking rewards are distributed from a dedicated, pre-allocated portion of the fixed total supply and do not require the creation of new tokens beyond the fixed supply.

Year 1. The Year 1 staking allocation is 5,000,000 $QUID (0.5% of total supply), distributed to eligible participants from a dedicated allocation. Distribution amounts are determined according to staking participation and program parameters.

Year 2 and beyond. Future staking allocations and program parameters may be modified through governance as the ecosystem evolves.

Illustrative Year 1 Reward Examples

The examples below are illustrative only and are based on a fixed reward allocation. Actual participation levels and outcomes may vary. Illustrative rates are not guaranteed and are subject to change. These examples assume the fixed Year 1 staking allocation is distributed over a 12-month period and are calculated against the illustrative token-staked amounts shown below.

Governance

$QUID governance is designed to evolve over time. During the early stages of ecosystem development, governance may focus on a limited set of protocol and ecosystem decisions while the platform continues to mature.

As the ecosystem develops, governance scope may expand to include additional areas such as protocol parameters, treasury-related decisions, staking program parameters, and other ecosystem initiatives. The timing and scope of any expansion will depend on ecosystem needs and governance processes.

Governance participation is determined by governance rules in effect at the time. Subject to those rules, governance weight may be associated with staked $QUID.

Buyback Mechanisms

Following TGE, governance may determine whether a portion of treasury resources is allocated to token-related mechanisms, including the potential purchase of $QUID on the open market. Buybacks are not active at launch. The timing, scope, implementation, activation, and parameters of any such mechanisms will be determined through governance and remain subject to protocol priorities, legal and regulatory considerations, and applicable constraints.

Any tokens acquired through these mechanisms may be managed in accordance with governance-approved policies.

Ecosystem Utility

$QUID is intended to play a role within the Squid ecosystem. Planned functionality may evolve over time and is subject to product development, governance decisions, and applicable constraints. Specific features, requirements, and eligibility criteria may change.
