About Squid

Squid was born out of a simple observation: Crypto was rapidly becoming multichain, and the infrastructure connecting chains together was lagging far behind innovation.

The observation became a goal: to become the connective layer between chains enabling seamless cross-chain transfers. Starting in 2022 Squid has always stayed true to that same vision. With Squid Intents, Squid's final protocol upgrade, we introduced our own cross-chain protocol with our own solver network routing transactions across chains using TEEs. This meant no more reliance on third party GMP protocols or other cross-chain solutions.

Today, Squid is a multi-layer cross-chain stack, the full stack infrastructure behind 1,000+ apps unifying liquidity, execution, and UX. By owning the entire stack, core routing and settlement, developer infrastructure and end-user consumer products, we ensure optimal performance, consistency and reliability at every layer.

Squid provides a single integration for seamless swaps, bridging, and contract calls across 100+ chains, including EVM networks, Bitcoin, Solana, Ripple, Hedera, Cosmos, and more. As the ecosystem has evolved, Squid has continuously advanced its technology while staying anchored to the same core vision: solving fragmentation and making cross-chain interactions seamless.

Squid Today

Squid is the cheapest, fastest, and most reliable cross-chain layer, routing value for mayor players such as MetaMask, Ripple, and MiniPay.

Today, Squid has served over 1 million users, router over $6B in volume, powered more than 1000 applications, and over 4 million transactions, making the the true vision of free and connected finance a reality.
